A cash bonus of €500 is on offer to the first man and woman to break the course record.
The men’s record is currently held by Mick Clohessy (Raheny Shamrocks AC 48.16) while Aoife Cooke (Eagle AC 54.19 ) holds the ladies record .

John Treacy Club Challenge
In recent years we have held a separate team competition in this race called the John Treacy Club Challenge, where we call on clubs to take up the challenge!The 2023 men’s team winners were West Waterford AC with a combined time of 2.40.16. while Clonmel AC took the ladies title with a finish time of 3.00.45
This Challenge Cup is separate to the race team prizes.
- Your club’s best 3 combined finish times, regardless of category count.
- Individual/Category prize winners can also count for the John Treacy Team Challenge.
- Specially commissioned mementos will be awarded to the winning teams.
