On 29th August 2026 at 9am West Waterford Athletic Club will host our now annual Greenway Half Marathon.
Entries open July 1st ! Limited to 750 entries with entries available on Eventmaster.ie
Entry fee includes a specially commissioned Greenway dri fit tshirt !
In conjunction with Waterford City and County Council this is a 13.1 mile race along the now famous old Waterford/Dungarvan Railway line. This fantastic amenity opened officially in 2017 and has already experienced visitors from all over the country and beyond. Users are amazed by this 47 km spectacular off-road cycling and walking trail along an old railway line between Waterford and Dungarvan.
As all our supporters know we try to raise awareness for important causes and charities with our events and this year the chosen charity we are supporting is:

We hope that you will be as generous as always in supporting this very worthy cause as we aspire to bring an 8 land Running Track to Dungarvan for the next generation of young athletes and for the many hundreds of runners in West Waterford and beyond. In February of this year with the signing of a lease at St Augustines College Dungarvan we have commenced on a journey to bring this dream to a reality.
