East Munster Schools Championships for Girls held in RSC

On Thursday last the girls converged on the RSC to compete in a range of events and West Waterford athletes competed for all the local schools.  Although very heavy rain was forecast for the day we managed to complete most of the programme before the only heavy shower of the day hit the track but it soon passed over and the programme was completed in record time. It was a very successful day for the Adscoil, Dungarvan College, Meanscoil and St Augustine’s who all qualified athletes in sprints, middle distance, racewalking, jumping and throwing events. All those who finished in the top three have qualified for the 123.ie Munster Schools Championships in Templemore on Saturday May 1st.
