At the annual John Buckley 10 mile road race in Cork last Saturday morning a field of 1054 completed the course, the overall winner was Paul O Donnell DSD A.C. In a time of 49.51 and runner up was team mate Robert Corbally in 53.46 , Fresh from his success up north two weeks ago Pat Hennessey had a brilliant run once again to take 3rd spot in a very good time of 53.52 also competing from the club were Ron Ilsley 1.16.04 a good run by Ron and Patricia Eichelmann will be well pleased with her 1.35.43, back in his native city Gareth Pole broke the 1.40 mark when clocking 1.39.33, and Michael Coakley broke the 140 barrier with 1.39.56.
