Elverys Inter Sport Winter League next Wednesday
Round two of the team championships in our juvenile winter league sponsored by Elverys Inter Sport will get underway @ 4.15 on Wednesday. Our young athletes will once again attempt to better their times and score points for their teams and just as importantly prepare for their upcoming All Ireland championships. We had a good turnout over the midterm break and despite the heavy rain on Wed over thirty athletes turned up for training. Next Sundays Munster championships will also be a good test for our athletes especially those who are running out of their age group.
Munster Championships in Conna on Sunday Next
The second round of the Munster Championships for athletes under 9,11,13,15,17,19 and junior will take place in Conna Co. Cork on Sunday next with the first race underway at 11.30. West Waterford athletes will gather at the venue at 10am to allow time to collect numbers, walk the course and warm up.
Over fifty athletes from West Waterford have been entered in the event and we will field club teams in nine of the twelve races. There will also be county teams in all the age groups. West Waterford had a very successful day at the first day of the championships and will look to emulate that on day 2. The following are entered for the championships.
