Cross Country Season Up and Running
The cross country season got underway on Sunday last with the first of the county boards training days. Three athletes from West Waterford travelled to Carriganore for the session and they joined athletes from Waterford AC, Tramore, Ferrybank and Finisk Valley for a very worthwhile session. The next couty training session will be on Sat Sept 14th in Colligan.
Munster Performance Squad
You can now register on the athletics Ireland website for the Provincial Squads. There are two section a development squad for athletes under 13 to 15 and a performance squad for athletes under 16 to 20 who finished in the top 4 in the Muinster Club or schools championship. The first session takes place on Sept 7th in

First Cross Country of the Season Sunday 15th
The first cross country races of the season will be held on Sunday August 15th in Tramore. The venue is just behind spashworld. There will be races for undr 9,11,13,and 15. Under 10’s can compete in theunder 11 race , under 12’s can move up to under 13 and under 14’s can compete under 15. This will be a good chance to stretch the legs and compete ahead of the county championships.
