Cross Country Training Kicked Off on Wednesday 27th August
The cross country season is fast approaching so it’s time to start back training. We had a great turn out last Wednesday with over 60 athletes training.
The first Munster Cross Country will be held on Oct 12th so the county championships will have to be held before that. Cross country training started last Wednesday August 27th in the Friary @4.30pm and will continue on Monday and Wednesday @4.30pm. We look forward to seeing all our athletes back in training and look forward to another successful cross country season. These are the dates I have so far so you can plan your calendars for the upcoming season. It will be busy once it starts. We will have a meeting on Monday to discuss a date for the Primary Schools Cross Country
For those who are new to cross country athletes can compete in their own age group and the age above so under 9’s compete under 9 and under 10
under 10’s compete under 10 and under 11 etc
Cross Country Squads Continue this Year
In a effort to bring clubs together the County Board is going to run several county squad training days. The first one is in Waterford on Saturday 6th of September time and venue to be confirmed. All the clubs will train together with different groups for different ages. We would encourage all our athletes to attend these sessions. If you are interested in going please let Ravis or Mary know before the end of training Wed so we can let the county board know how many are taking part.
