Training Will be Back on Wed 22nd
Lasty Wed unfortunately because of the sodden ground conditions we had to cancel at the last minute. This Wednesday whatever the weather we will be back in action as there are some Open Sports coming up in early April. It’s not really track and Field weather but we will make the most of it.
Silver for Eoghan O’Brien in the Spring Throws
The outdoor track season got underway in Tullamore on Sunday last when the National Spring Throws were held. West Waterford had just one athlete in action Eoghan O’Brien in the under 18 discus. This was a welcome return to competition for Eoghan and he came home with the silver medal.
Gold and Silver for Jarlath in Nenagh
Jarlath Hurney made the trip to Nenagh for the Munster under 9-11 indoor championships. Jarlath competed in three events. He won the Shot Putt, finished second in the 60m sprint and was 9th in the long jump.
