Training to continue after Mid-Term Break
Well done to all our juvenile athletes who have been training twice weekly over the last two months. When we began we thought that at this stage we would be heading for Munster and All Ireland Championships but alas that was not to be.
Athletics Ireland has extended the cross country season out to the end of February in the hope that some championships might take place.
For the moment we are all in Level 5. Training for juvenile athletes can continue outdoors in pods of up to 15. We have been operating a pod system for the last two months with groups of up to ten in five pods working away from each other. This has proved very successful as have the new protocols we put in place to protect our athletes and coaches. We have taken a short break for the mid term.
We will start back training on Wed Nov4th at 4.30. Please remember to check in on line by 3pm. We look forward to seeing you all back and ready to train on Wed. The latest guidance we have from Athletics Ireland is that parents and coaches who are attending or bringing their children to an organised training session may travel beyond the 5km limit to do so.
