A warm welcome to our French Visitors
Next weekend we welcome a group of French athletes from Grand Paris Seine et Oise athletic club who will be spending a week in Dungarvan. They will stay at the Gold Coast and train and compete with West Waterford during the week.
They were due to arrive on Saturday but Stena has cancelled their sailing and they are now trying to make alternative sailing arrangements. We look forward to welcoming them to Dungarvan.
Good Throwing from Saoirse Quinn
Saoirse recently travelled to Templemore to take part in the Athletics Ireland Spring Throws Festival. This event has athletes from different age groups competing against each other. Saoirse recorded a personal best throw of 29.94 in the hammer and 25.39 in the discus which was the longest throw of the under 17 athletes at the event.
