County Team Medals Arrive in Post

 

Our under 10 boys team of Charlie Curran, Conor Mc Carthy, Peter Ahearne and Patrick Mullaney were delightednto hear that their county championship team medals had arrived by post on Friday and the four boys were presented with their gold medals at training on Friday evening.

 

Time Trial for Group 2 on Wednesday

 

On Wednesday last group 2 did a time trial over 2000m.  The athletes went off at 30 sec intervals to ensure social distance. There was a very strong breeze blowing in from the sea but the athletes stuck to their task and recorded some good times. Fastest on the first night was Ian Holmes with a time of 6.41. Sarah Gaffney was best of the girls in 7.36 and Aoife O’Donovan was not far behind in 7.39. Liam Broderick was also under 8mins recording a time of 7.45. Everyone will have a chance to run it again on Wed to see if they can improve on their times.

 

Time Trial for Group 3 on Friday

 

On Friday night group three ran a time trial over 2000m.  Conditions were kinder on Friday as It was much milder and there was no breeze. Best time on Friday was recorded by Isabelle Gaffney who covered the distance in 6.51.

Eoin Prendergast was the fastest of the boys in a time 0f 7.12. Kyla Flavin (7.45)

Owen Morrissey(7.51) and Conor Keane (7.54) were the only others to go under 8mins.
