123.ie All Ireland in Tramore on Sunday Dec 1st

Having made the long trek to Fermanagh for Day 1 of the All Ireland Championships we now head to Tramore for day 2 under 11,13,15,17and 19.

Tramore have done great work organising the county and Munster Championships and some of our athletes travelled to the seaside town last Saturday for a run over the course.

In the girls under 13 race Eabha Broderick, Leah Kiely and Madison Connors will all compete with the county team.

In the under 15 girls West Waterford have qualified a club team with Siun Cunningham, Saoirse Kinsella, Natalie Barry, Ava Ryan and Sheelagh Mai Curran representing the club. Siun, Saoirse and Natalie will also represent their county in this event.

William Mc Nally will represent the county in the boys under 15 as will Noah Commins in the boys under 17.

In the girls under 17 Sarah O’Riordan and Jessics Grigor will both compete on the Waterford team

In the final two races of the day under 19 both Grainne Moore and Naoise Mac Mhurchadha will respesent Munster in the inter provincial competition.

Last Week of team Race in Tony’s League Sponsored by InterSport Elvery

As we head into the final week of the team competition in Tony’s League we have a new leader with Tiernan Hogan’s team leading the way on 503 pts. Eabha Broderick’s team have dropped down to second on 550 pts and Siun Cunninghams team and Ava Kiely’s team are tied for third with 567pts while Kevin Russell’s team are just five points behind on 572. It is all to run for on Wed next.

In the individual race over twenty athletes have once again improved their times this week. Jarlath Hurney and Tiernan Hogan both dipped under the 7.30 mark while Kevin Russell  and Harry Drea both ran under the 8min mark for the first time. Katie Mai Daly ran under 9mins for the first time and is only athlete who has improved her time every week of the five weeks we have run.

In the short lap Andy Zakis leads by two seconds from David Kiely and Eathain Ni Mhurchu again improved her time to keep the fastest girl spot. Conall O’Ruairc continues to improve his time for the third week in a row and Keelan Holland, Tom Darcy, Jack Rochford and Evan O’Grady all had big improvements this week.
