On Friday last for the first time in several years few held a juvenile race in conjunction with the senior summer series. Over 70 athletes gathered near the railway cottage for the 1km race down the Greenway. The balmy summer evening and the presence of many parents and senior athletes warming up around the area set up a great buzz as our young athletes toed the line and waited for the starters whistle. Once the whistle sounded they thundered down the greenway to the finish line where medals, water and packs of jellies awaited them. Well done to all the athletes who competed. Full results below

County Championships Day 2
On Sunday last we had over thirty athletes competing on Day 2 of the county championships in the RSC. We had some great performances on the track and in the field. Full report and photos in next weeks notes.
The juvenile committee extends their deepest sympathies to committee member Lola Holmes and her family on the recent passing of her sister in law Catherine Holmes and to the Rockett falling on the death of Donny Rockett who competed with our club when he was a schoolboy in St Augustine’s College. May they rest in peace.
