Astro Athletics for under 8-11 in Lismore
Ten of our younger athletes’ travelled to Lismore on Sunday last for the Astro Athletics meet. This is a fun introduction to athletics for the younger age groups and great fun was had by all participating on the day. The competition kicked off with a sprint for all age groups. The girls then took to the turbo javelin while the boys did long jump and then switched around before all completing the long run. All our athletes performed well on the day with some great jumping in the long jump from Etain and wins in the long runs for David Kiely and Liam Enright with James Crotty taking the win in his sprint event. We look forward to more of these events in the next month.
