Founded in 1994 West Waterford Athletic Club has gone on to become one of the premier athletic clubs in Ireland. The club has both juvenile and adult sections and was formed out of the amalgamation of Cappoquin/Ballinameela A.C., Dungarvan A.C. and Ring/Old Parish A.C.
