All Ready for Schools Championships

The Waterford Colleges will take place on the track in Waterford on Wednesday next April 25th.  This event is open to all second level schools in the county. There will be a full programme of events at Minor and Junior level and intermediates and seniors will compete together.  Over the past number of years the standard has been very high in this event with many Waterford athletes going on to record wins at Munster and All Ireland and next week should see the pattern continue.  West Waterford athletes will represent the local schools at this event and should enjoy considerable success.

 

Primary School Sports Gets under Way with Big Schools Heats

On Thursday April 26th it will be the turn of the primary school students as they battle for places in the Western Primary Schools Finals. First in action will be the big schools.  The first race will get under way at 6.30 sharp in the Friary so line up will begin at 6.10. Come early as the parking spaces in the Friary fill up quickly and the races will not be delayed for latecomers. We ask all stewards to be in place before

 

County Championships on Friday 28th     

The first session of the county championships will take place in Waterford with a start time of  5.30.  There will be events for boys and girls under 9 to senior. Check notice board at training for time of bus.

 

Training continues Wednesday and Friday at 6.00 in the Friary.  New members are always welcome.
