Munster Championships for Waterford Next Weekend
On Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st the second section of the Munster Club Championships for ages 14-19 will be held at the R.S.C. in Waterford. It is several years since such a fixture was last held in Waterford and we look forward to a good turnout of athletes and officials on both days. The following West Waterford athletes have been entered for the event:

Half Way Stage of Club Championships
Competition is keen as we reach the half way stage of the club championships. On Wed the girls continue with the throwing events while the boys will compete in the long jump. On Friday we finish with the distance races in all age groups. All the points to date will be on the board at training on Wednesday.
Credit Union Award for Thomas Houlihan
Thomas Houlihan has been flying high of late with clearance of 4m 50 in the pole vault. This height was enough to ensure his selection for the European youth Olympic team that will compete in Tempere in Finland in July. This is a great achievement for Thomas and his club and we all wish him success in this event. In recognition of this Thomas was also named as the winner of the Combined Credit Unions monthly award. This will be presented on July 6th in Waterford.
The club would like to extend their sympathy to Judith and Niamh Campbell on the recent death of their grandmother.
