Easons Cross Country League a Huge Success
Last Wednesday we finished for the season with the presentation of prizes for our Eason’s cross country league. The league broke all records this year. Kate Veale set a new course record, we had the highest number of competitors on one day and the highest numbers competing in the league when over 100 took part this year. Pat White of Easons Dungarvan was on hand to present the prizes. Lughaidh O’Mahoneys team won the team event with Micheal Powers team second and Tholm Reddy’s team third.

VIP Day Out for Kate Veale
Over the past number of weeks AAI in conjunction with the European Cross Country were offering the opportunity to two young athletes to be European reporters for the day. Kate Veale won the girls section and got a chance of an insider’s view of last Sunday’s European championships. We will bring you a copy of Kate report next week. What a great day it was in Santry last Sunday and what a superbly organized meet the European Cross Championships was and such a contrast to the week before. Lets see more of these types of races in Ireland.
