Indoor Season Gets Underway in Nenagh

The first of three days of indoor competition took place in Nenagh on Sunday last and West Waterford had just one athlete in action. Michalina Goclik took partin a very competitive girls under 16 shot. She made the cut to the final eight and had her best throw in the fifth round and she finished in 6th place with a throw of 7m59. Next weekend we have another thrower in action when Lena Kowalcze competes in the under 17 shot on Saturday. The final day Mach 10th we will have three walkers in action Sophie Beresford, Eabha Hickey and Doireann Hickey.

123.ie Munster Schools Cross Country  

The best of luck to all our athletes competing in the schools cross country on Tues next in Tramore Valley Park Cork. The first three teams and the top 15 finishers will qualify for the 123.ie All Ireland Schools which will be held in Dublin on Saturday March 9th.

Training Started back on Wednesday Last

We had a good turnout at training on Wednesday last on our first day back, lots of familiar faces there and a few new one too. We will have training again next Wed Feb 28th and then the following week we will be back to our usual schedule of Wed and Friday@4.30
