Cross Country Training Kicks Off on Wednesday 28th 
The cross country season is fast approaching with the first race of the season the West Waterford Primary and Secondary Schools Cross Country being  held on Friday Sept 20th  so it’s time to start back training. The first Munster Cross Country will be held on Oct 20th so the county championships will have to be held before that which means the first two Sundays in October or even the last Sunday in September. We will have the dates after the County Board AGM on September 9th. Cross country training starts on Wednesday August 28th in the Friary @6.00pm and will continue on Wednesday and Fridays @6.00pm. We look forward to seeing all our athletes back in training and we welcome new membersas look forward to another successful cross country season.
Lucy Holmes on National Junior Cross Country Squad
The first of our athletes back training for the cross country season will be Lucy Holmes who will travel to Galway to link up with the Irish junior cross country squad who will have their first training session this weekend. Lucy and Cian O’Riordan have also been invited to join the Munster cross country squads for their training weekend in September. 
Aislinn O’Regan continues her training as she prepares for the last two competitions of the year in Cork in early September and Tullamore at the end of September.
Well done to all our athletes who received their leaving cert results this week.
The juvenile committee extend their sincere condolences to the extended Queally and McGrath families on the untimely death of Jack McGrath R.I.P.
