The Munster Juvenile Inter-County Relays & Junior & Senior Cross Country Championships

Aoife Hamilton wrote her name into the Munster athletics history books when taking a resounding win. Aoife collected 2 gold medals on the day when leading her club team to gold

David McCarthy scores on victorious European team

Senior men's race over 8k West Waterford's David McCarthy was a scoring member of the European team who claimed the gold team medals in Great Edinburgh cross Country in Hollyrood Park, Scotland.

Joe Gough won 3 national titles in the over the category, first up was the 400 which Joe won in 59.53 and in the 800 he clocked 2.16.00 for his 2nd gold of the day. Joe capped off a memorable championship with a gold in the 200 in 27.43

World record for Joe Gough at Leinster Indoors in Athlone. Joe broke the over 60 world record for 800 meters with a Time of 2.14.06.

Raivis Zakis wins Silver at the national 50k championships in Donadea.

Alice Fitzergald and Gerry Cummins are victorious in the Winter League.

March 2014

David McCarthy did Ireland proud in producing a very fine performance in the 1.500 m, finishing 6th in his heat in 3.39.46 at the World Championships in Sopot in Poland.

Joe Gough over 60 800 meters – Gold Medal winner

Joe incredibly has 70 national masters titles he has now accumulated 9 European gold medals,10

British championships gold's and 2 world silver medals. Well done Joe.

Philip Harty has been selected to represent Ireland on the men's over 35 team following his 2nd placing at the recent AAI Autumn Cross Country race in the Phoenix Park which incorporated the Masters Cross country Trial for the forthcoming British and Irish Masters Cross country Championships in Nottingham.
