The entries will be taken at the Dungarvan G.A.A. club where soup and sandwiches will be provided after the run.

ALL PROCEEDS THIS YEAR TO ST.MARY'S ASD PRESCHOOL.

In September 2013 St. Mary's Primary school opened their early intervention ASD class. This class is for children between the ages of 3 and 5 on the ASD spectrum. The class has a 6:1 pupil teacher ratio and 2 SNA's are allocated to the class. Presently this is the only ASD preschool in the West Waterford are.

The school receives funding from the department of education grants but like all schools we depend on fund raising to provide extra resources. During the 2015/16 school year, with the help of fundraising and grants we furnished a sensory room and planted a sensory garden.

Presently we are in the process of purchasing play ground equipment. The children in the unit would benefit greatly from this as many of the children with ASD present with difficulties with gross motor skills. Climbing frames and slides will improve the children's balance, co-ordination, motor skills and increases fitness.
